ELC Summer Club
Our goal at our preschools is to provide a loving, safe, educational environment that encourages each child's emotional, intellectual, social and physical growth.
PYLUSD Expanded Learning Department offers before and after school care at 17 elementary school and four middle school locations in the district.
Preschool Philosophy
We are pleased that you have chosen the PYLUSD State Preschool Program to begin your child’s educational journey. We offer high-quality, in-person preschool services, and our teachers and staff are highly qualified, holding the appropriate Child Development Permit required by the State of California. Our preschool programs have received a high-star rating from the Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS), coordinated by the Orange County Department of Education.
Our highest priority is to meet the needs of each student. To that end, our curriculum is embedded in a learning environment rich with developmentally, linguistically, and culturally appropriate materials, as well as meaningful activities that encourage children to make choices, self-initiate, and construct their learning process by observing, exploring, experimenting, and engaging in hands-on experiences.
